Japan Lost Item Rescue exposes a narrow, authenticated MCP connection for people who want an AI assistant to handle the repetitive parts of a recovery request. The secure browser still handles identity, photos, consent, and payment confirmation.

Connect this endpoint from a compatible ChatGPT, Claude, or other MCP client. OAuth opens a browser where you sign in with Google and approve the requested scopes. Never give your Google password, Stripe card details, or courier credentials to an AI client.
What the AI connection can do

Start the secure request flow
Open the service request page, then enter the item details, likely facilities, and one to three reference photos.

Show your own cases
List or read cases owned by the authenticated Google account. Ownership is re-checked by the server for each request.

Return the recorded start-fee checkout
After the case has a server-recorded checkout session, the AI can return its owner-scoped Stripe Checkout URL only after explicit USD 19 and separate-shipping confirmation. Stripe receives card details directly.
What the AI connection cannot do
- It cannot send an email or phone inquiry to a facility.
- It cannot choose or change a facility destination, bypass the operator's facility verification, or access another customer's case.
- It cannot issue the size-based success-fee request, purchase international shipping, or access a courier account.
- It cannot bypass Google authentication, the server-side payment gate, the shared cost stop, or the case ownership check.
These limits are deliberate. An AI assistant can make the intake and status-checking work easier without turning a natural-language prompt into an unreviewed facility contact or an unlimited billing action.
Fees and shipping
The request starts with a one-time USD 19 start fee. USD 45 base success fee + fixed JPY surcharge by confirmed size band (small ¥0; medium ¥590; large ¥1,720; extra-large ¥2,100); converted to USD at payment-link issuance. This is a predetermined service-fee schedule, not a charge based on actual courier costs. The maximum service-fee total if recovered is USD 64 + ¥2,100 JPY equivalent. International shipping, customs duties, import taxes, destination fees, and courier charges are separate. After a match, the customer contracts and pays the courier directly. Japan Lost Item Rescue does not sell or resell transportation.
Facility contact is still performed by the operator under the service's legal and authorization rules. A connection through AI does not change the service scope or guarantee recovery.
Frequently asked questions
Can an AI client submit a lost-item request?
Yes. A compatible AI client can start the secure browser request flow. The browser collects the item, photos, consent, Google sign-in, and explicit USD 19 start-fee confirmation.
Can the MCP server contact a facility or buy shipping?
No. Facility contact remains an operator-only action. MCP does not purchase international shipping, issue the success-fee request, or receive card details.
Do I need a Google account?
Yes for live requests and case tracking. Google authenticates the account without sharing your Google password or reusable Google access token with the service.
What does the customer pay?
